Another of Australian artist John McCartin’s realistic and world class paintings, Golden Delight. As part of his prize for winning “Best Painting In The World” 2011 (International Artist Magazine) for painting Dairy D’Light, John won a trip to the Cotsworlds, UK to paint. Golden Delight is one of the finest examples of his work from that trip! His superb realism and use of light is as close to perfect as you will get in a painting. The scene is from a village called Lower Slaughter, located in the Cotswold district, England.
The golden colour and the subtle rays of sunlight create a warm, dreamy atmosphere. The cows standing on the elegantly, arched bridge are the centrepiece and are perfectly framed by an old-world, romantic landscape. Truly another masterpiece by a master artist!
